las instrucciones atentamente. Guarde estas instrucciones y el envase para
futura referencia. Si tiene alguna duda, póngase en contacto con su mé-
dico, su ortopedia especializada o con nuestro departamento de Atención
al Cliente.
ORLIMAN S.L.U. garantiza todos sus productos, siempre que éstos no hayan
sido manipulados ni alterados en su configuración original, a excepción de
su utilización prescrita en esta hoja de instrucciones.
En caso de que los productos se utilicen en combinación con otros produc-
tos, repuestos o sistemas, asegúrese que sean compatibles y de la marca
Orliman
®
. No garantiza aquellos productos que por mal uso, se produzcan
deficiencias o roturas de cualquier tipo. Para hacer uso de la garantía, acuda
al establecimiento expendedor, que debe cumplimentar el cuadro de da-
tos de garantía de la presente hoja de instrucciones. En caso de incidentes
graves relacionados con el producto, comuníquelos a Orliman S.L.U. y a la
autoridad competente correspondiente en su Estado.

Este artículo es accesorio de un producto sanitario clase I. Se ha rea-
lizado un Análisis de Riesgos (UNE EN ISO 14971) minimizando todos los
riesgos existentes. Se han realizado los ensayos conforme a la normativa
europea UNE-EN ISO 22523 de Prótesis y Ortesis.
INDICACIONES
⋅
Permite que la ortesis, vendaje o escayola se pueda utilizar acorde con
su finalidad prevista (incluso durante el baño o la ducha del usuario).
⋅
Ayuda a prevenir infecciones o retrasos en la recuperación debido al con-
tacto con el agua.
⋅
Previene la necesidad de reemplazar la escayola debido al daño provoca-
do por el contacto con el agua.
INSTRUCCIONES DE COLOCACIÓN
Para obtener el mayor grado de eficacia terapéutica en las diferentes pa-
tologías y prolongar la vida útil del producto, es fundamental la elección
correcta de la talla más adecuada a cada paciente o usuario. Una compre-
sión excesiva puede producir intolerancia, por lo que aconsejamos regular
la compresión hasta un grado firme, pero cómodo.
En caso de que el producto necesite adaptación, ésta se tiene que llevar
a cabo por un técnico ortopédico o un profesional sanitario legalmente
capacitado para ello, y debe asegurarse que el usuario final o la persona
responsable de la colocación del producto entiende correctamente su fun-
cionamiento y su utilización.
Para su colocación deben observarse los siguientes aspectos:
La colocación, el uso y la retirada del producto para niños debe ser super-
visada por un adulto.
1-Abra el orificio de modo que permita la entrada del segmento corporal
a cubrir.
2-Inserte cuidadosamente la extremidad con la ortesis y/o escayola y deslice
el producto sobre ella hasta cubrir la zona a proteger. Procure no dañar el
material con las uñas u otros objetos punzantes.
3-Cubra completamente la ortesis y/o escayola.
4-Alise los pliegues de la silicona para que esta no permita la entrada de
ningún líquido y se cierre herméticamente alrededor de la piel por enci-
ma de la ortesis y/o escayola.

PRECAUCIONES
Antes de cada uso, compruebe que el producto tiene todos sus compo-
nentes, según el proceso de colocación. Revise periódicamente su esta-
do. Si observara alguna deficiencia o anomalía, comuníquelo inmedia-
tamente al establecimiento expendedor.
El material constructivo es inflamable. No exponga los productos a si-
tuaciones que pudieran producir su ignición. Si así fuera, despréndase
rápidamente de ellos y utilice los medios adecuados para apagarlo.
En caso de molestias como rozaduras, irritaciones o hinchazón, retire el
producto y acuda al médico o técnico ortopédico. El producto se debe
utilizar solamente en pieles intactas. Contraindicado en cicatrices abier-
tas con hinchazón, enrojecimiento y acumulación de calor.
RECOMENDACIONES-ADVERTENCIAS
El uso de estos productos está condicionado a las indicaciones. Aunque la
ortesis no sea de un solo uso, se recomienda usar por un único paciente
y solo para los fines indicados en estas instrucciones o por su facultativo.
Para el desecho del envase y el producto, cumpla estrictamente con las nor-
mas legales de su comunidad.
Este artículo es resistente al agua, pero no se recomienda su uso para activi-
dades que requieran inmersión como natación o buceo.
Para evitar problemas de circulación sanguínea, limite el tiempo de uso y
compruebe que el producto no queda demasiado ajustado.
Peligro de asfixia. Mantenga fuera del alcance de los niños. Este producto
no es un juguete.
No exponga el producto al sol, u otras fuentes de calor o llamas.
Seque la zona superior al anillo antes de quitarse el producto.
No utilice objetos punzantes durante su manipulación como pendientes o
anillos.
En caso de usarlo sobre una escayola, evite que los bordes rasposos estén en
contacto con el producto, ya que estos bordes pueden dañarlo.
Tenga especial cuidado con las superficies húmedas, resbaladizas y moja-
das: no se puede caminar o apoyar sobre éstas.
No reutilizar si el interior del protector está sucio o dañado.
El material plástico puede causar sensación de calor.
RECOMENDACIONES DE CONSERVACIÓN Y LAVADO
Cuando no use el producto, guárdelo en su envase original, en lugar seco, a
temperatura ambiente. Pegar los velcros entre sí (si la ortesis los tuviera),
lavar periódicamente a mano con agua tibia (máx. 30ºC) y jabón neutro.
Para el secado del producto, utilice una toalla seca para absorber la máxima
humedad y déjelo secar a temperatura ambiente. No lo tienda ni lo planche
y no lo exponga a fuentes de calor directas como estufas, secadoras, exposi-
ción directa al sol, etc. Durante su uso o en su limpieza, no utilice sustancias
abrasivas, corrosivas, alcoholes, pomadas o líquidos disolventes. Si la ortesis
no está bien escurrida, los residuos de detergente pueden irritar la piel y
deteriorar el producto.

read the instructions carefully. Keep these instructions and the packaging
for future reference. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact
your doctor, orthopaedic specialist or our customer service department.
ORLIMAN S.L.U. guarantees all its products as long as the original configu-
ration has not been manipulated or altered except for the intended use as
described in these instructions.
If the products are used in combination with other products, replacement
parts or systems, make sure they are compatible and made by Orliman
®
.
It does not guarantee any products with altered characteristics due to im-
proper use, defects or breakage of any kind. To use the warranty, go to the
place where you bought the product as they must complete the warranty
information table on this instructions sheet. If any serious incidents related
to the product occur, notify Orliman S.L.U. and the corresponding compe-
tent authority in your country.

This article is defined as an accessory of a class I medical device. A Risk
Analysis (UNE EN ISO 14971) has been carried out, minimising the existing
risks. Tests have been in accordance with European Regulation UNE-EN ISO
22523 on Prostheses and Orthoses.

Allows the orthotic device, bandage or plaster to be used as intended
(even while bathing or showering).

Helps prevent infections and delayed recover due to contact with water.
⋅
Prevents the need to replace a plaster due to damage caused by contact
with water.
FITTING INSTRUCTIONS
For best therapeutic results considering different pathologies and to extend
the useful life of the product, it is essential to choose the correct size for
each patient or user. Excessive compression may be intolerable; adjusting
the compression to be firm yet comfortable is recommended.
If the product must be adapted, any such adjustments must be done by
an orthopaedic specialist or healthcare professional legally certified to do
so who must make sure the end user or person responsible for fitting the
product properly understands how it works and should be used.
When fitting the product, you must adhere to the following
instructions:
When using the product on a child, fitting, use and removal must be su-
pervised by an adult.
1-Open the hole to insert the body segment to be covered.
2-Carefully insert the limb with the orthotic device and/or plaster and slide
the product over it until the area to be protected is covered. Try not to
damage the material with fingernails or other sharp objects.
3-Completely cover the orthotic device and/or plaster.
4-Smooth all silicone folds so no liquid may enter and it becomes herme-
tically sealed around the skin above the orthotic device and/or plaster.

PRECAUTIONS
Before each use, check that all product components are present as per
the fitting process. Periodically check the conditions of the product. If
you observe any defect or anomaly, immediately report it to the issuing
establishment.
This product is made of inflammable material. Do not expose the prod-
ucts to situations that could set them on fire. In the event of a fire, quick-
ly get them off your body and use the proper resources to extinguish
the fire.
For discomfort such as chafing, irritation and swelling, remove the prod-
uct and see a doctor or orthopaedic specialist. The product should only
be used on healthy skin. It is not recommended for use over open scars
with swelling, redness or hotspots.
RECOMMENDATIONS-WARNINGS
The use of these products is conditioned by the indications. Although the
product is not defined as a single-use device, using it on a single patient
only is recommended and only for the intended purposes as described in
these instructions or by a healthcare professional.
When disposing of the product and its packaging, you must strictly adhere
to the legal regulations in your community.
This item is water-resistant. However, its use is not recommended for acti-
vities requiring immersion such as swimming and diving.
To avoid blood circulation problems, limit the length of use and make sure
the product is not too tight.
Danger of asphyxia. Keep out of the reach of children. This product is not
a toy.
Do not expose the product to the sun or other heat or flame sources.
Dry the top of the ring before removing the product.
Do not use sharp objects when handling such as earrings or rings.
If using with a plaster, make sure the rough edges are not in contact with
the product as these edges may damage it.
Be particularly careful with moist, slipper and wet surfaces: do not walk or
find support on them.
Do not reuse if the inside of the protector is dirty or damaged.
The plastic material may cause a feeling of heat.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR STORAGE AND WASHING
When not using the product, store it in the original packaging in a dry place
at room temperature. To dry the product, use a dry towel to absorb as much
moisture as possible and let it dry at room temperature. Do not hang it up or
iron the product and do not expose it to direct heat sources such as stoves,
dryers, direct sun exposure, etc. When using or cleaning the product, do not
use abrasive or corrosive substances, alcohol, ointments or liquid solvents. If
not dried off properly, the detergent residue may irritate the skin and cause
the product to deteriorate.
