Feature Connector Pin Outs
The feature connectors located at the upper left corner
of the Fahrenheit Video 3D can be used as a single
standard 26-pin VESA feature connector or as dual 34-
pin Local Peripheral Bus (LPB) connectors (see Figure
1.1). The VESA feature connector permits third party
add-on accessories to both share signals and share
control of the VGA circuitry. The following table lists
the VESA feature connectors pin-out information.
NOTES:
(1) Low Enable External Pixel Data Input to the
motherboard DAC.
(2) Low Enable External Sync and Blanking Inputs to
the motherboard DAC.
(3) Low Enable External Pixel Clock Input to the
motherboard DAC.
Local Peripheral Bus (LPB) Connector
The 34-pin LPB connector is a special feature connec-
tor designed by S3 Incorporated. It provides a bidirec-
tional interface to video devices such as an MPEG
decoder and TV Tuner. The LPB connector is an
extension of the VESA feature connector with spaces
set aside to allow connections to standard 26-pin cables.
