Prior to connecting the power cord, make sure the power switch on the power
input module is in the off (
O
) position, and then plug the IEC end of the power
cord into the LRD-200B power plug. Plug the cord into a power source.
2.3.2
Ethernet
The LRD-200B is designed for remote control using an Ethernet connection.
Use of a private network, and not the user’s local network, is recommended for
connecting the LRD-200B and other receiver components to the system control
computer.
When used with a system that Orbital Systems, Ltd. has provided, the LRD-
200B is connected to an Ethernet 10/100 switch. That switch is connected to a
private network port on the Orbital Systems, Ltd. front end server (FES). Refer
to Orbital Systems, Ltd. installation documents for more information. Consult
the system provider documentation to determine connections for other
installations.
The LRD-200B is connected to the control network with a category 5 (CAT5)
or higher cable installed at J08. The Ethernet connection location is shown in
Figure 6.
