Disabling Components

The

disablecomponent

command disables a component by adding it to the ASR blacklist.

At the

sc>

prompt, enter the

disablecomponent

command.

After receiving confirmation that the

disablecomponent

command is complete,

reset the server so that the ASR command takes effect.

Enabling Disabled Components

The

enablecomponent

command enables a disabled component by removing it from the ASR

blacklist.

At the

sc>

prompt, enter the

enablecomponent

command.

hardware or software component. In such cases, it might be useful to run a diagnostic tool that

stresses the system by continuously running a comprehensive battery of tests. Sun provides the
