Installing SUSE Linux Enterprise Server

This topic provides information about installing the following operating systems:

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 SP3 (or subsequent release) for x86 (64-bit)

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 (or subsequent release) for x86 (64-bit)

Note –

Sun highly recommends that you use the Sun Installation Assistant (SIA) to install the

SUSE Linux operating system on your server. SIA provides and installs the device drivers, if
required, for you. For more information about using SIA to install an operating system,

Installing SLES10 or SLES11 From Distribution Media

media. It assumes that you are installing the SLES distribution media from one of the following
sources:
