4. If the fault list in the error message includes

i2c_b
, use the following
steps to find the faulty FRU.
If the fault list does not include
i2c_a
or
i2c_b
, go to

a. Power off the affected domains.
b. Power off both PSUs.
c. Swap the two PSUs with each other.
d. Power on the affected domains.

If the problem follows the PSU, replace the PSU. This should correct the
problem.
■
If the problem does not follow the PSU (if the same fault list is diagnosed),
go to
to test the I/O boats.
e. Power off the affected domains.
f. Swap the I/O boats with each other.
If there is only one I/O boat, move it to the unused I/O boat slot.
g. Power on the affected domains.
■
If the problem follows the I/O boat, replace the I/O boat. This should correct
the problem.
■
If the problem does not follow the I/O boat (if the same fault list is
diagnosed after swapping the PSUs and the I/O boats), go to
.
h. If the fault continues after you have replaced the PSUs and I/O boat(s),
replace the chassis.
5. If the fault list in the error message includes

find the faulty FRU:
a. Power off the domains that use the FRUs and remove one FRU.
i. Power off the affected domains.
ii. Power off both PSUs.
iii. Remove a single FRU.
Following is the list of FRUs to remove for this procedure. Remove only one
FRU from this list each time you go through this procedure. If the problem
persists, remove a different FRU from the list below using this same
procedure:
