3.2.8 How to capture OCT images
Depending on the features available on your device, you may be able to capture OCT images.
Select
OCT
and then select the OCT scan type.

Use the following procedure for capturing OCT images. You should aim to optimize the scan, see
optimize OCT scan quality" on page 45
1. Select
OCT
to display the OCT scan types.
2. Select the required OCT scan type, see
3. Capture an SLO image if one has not already been captured, see
4. Adjust the scan position on the touch screen to the desired location.
5. Re-align the patient if required, see
6. Select the live SLO image on the touch screen or press the top button on the hand control to set up the
OCT. The OCT set up auto-routines will run. Ask the patient to keep their eyes wide open at the start
of the auto-routines. During OCT set up the patient will see the alignment target, tracking scan, and
scan pattern, see

7. Check the SNR, center, focus and location and adjust if necessary, see
page 32. Check that the SNR is 8 or greater before capturing the scan.
8. Select the live SLO image on the touch screen or press the top button on the hand control to capture.
9. If required, select
Press to check OCT quality
to replay the scan.
