7. CONFIGURATION OF THE RS-485 ADDRESS
In installations in which the SU-
114N units receive analog signals
from UMX-02/0 matrices, or there
are MD-500 or MD-500EM analog
microphones, it is necessary to
have an RS-485 bus connecting
these units. Proceed as follows to
configure
the
RS-485
communication:
1. The SU-114N uses the CSMA
(Carrier Sense Multiple Access)
protocol. Move the CSMA/POLL
switch to the CSMA position
(Figure 2, no. 15)
2. Configure the RS-485 address
of the unit (Figure 2, no. 14).
Remember that each unit must
have a different address inside the
bus. Table III shows the possible
values of this dipswitch.
