When connecting the unit to digital fiber amp D3RF, make sure to connect a master device to the

leftmost terminal (ID=1). If a slave device is connected to the leftmost terminal, the interconnection

connector will be exposed, causing interference with the end plate. Also, fouling or damage on the

interconnection connector may damage the fiber amps.

Attach end plates so as to sandwich the interconnected units, and secure with screws.

The tightening torque should be 0.9 N·m or less.

Orient the end plates so that the plate is against the unit and the fiber amps, making sure to attach
the left and right sides in opposite orientations. Attach the end plates by hooking the notched side on
the DIN rail first, as shown in the following diagram.

Wiring the CC-Link connection cables

This section explains how to wire the cables for CC-Link connection.
• Make sure the power is OFF before making changes to wiring.
• Use recommended cables compatible with CC-Link Ver. 1.1 as CC-Link connection cables for this unit.
• Refer to the CC-Link Cable Wiring Manual and CC-Link master's manual published by the CC-Link Part

-

ner Association for the length and wiring method of CC-Link system cables.

Connect the CC-Link connection cables to the CC-Link connector by twisting the tip or by using

a pin terminal.

Insert the wire ends firmly.

Name and function of terminals

•  DA: CC-Link communication signal (+)

•  DB: CC-Link communication signal (-)

•  DG: CC-Link communication (GND)

•  SLD: Connects to dedicated CC-Link cable shielded wire.

•  FG: Protective ground terminal Perform Class D (Class 3)

grounding.

Plug the CC-Link connector into the unit and secure with screws.

The tightening torque for the screws should be between 0.2 and 0.3 N·m.

NOTE

To remove the CC-Link connection cables, remove the CC-Link connector from the unit, and pull out

the cable while using a small flathead screwdriver to press on the release button next to the terminal

hole.

Attaching a terminating resistor

If this unit is acting as a termination point using a CC-Link system trunk line, it is necessary to con

Connecting the power cable

This unit operates by power (12 to 24 VDC / 2 A or less) connected to the external power connector.

In addition, this unit supplies power to connected fiber amps through the interconnection connector. This

section explains how to wire the unit's power cables.

Warning
