2.1.2. Electrostatic discharge precautions
The printed circuit boards used in the Perfect Pick Integrated Work Station are
particularly susceptible to damage from electrostatic discharge (ESD). For this
reason, basic precautionary measures must be taken while handling these
devices:
•
Always wear an anti-static wrist strap when handling circuit boards.
•
Always handle circuit boards by their edges, never putting your fingers on
edge connectors or components.
•
After removing a circuit board, place it either on an ESD-grounded mat or
into an electrostatic shielding bag.
•
Always store and ship circuit boards in electrostatic shielding bags.
•
Never place anything else in the electrostatic shielding bag with the board.
