Image
Adjust the lighting and the focus to produce a suitable image. The image can be
checked in real time by switching to a through image.
Refer to page 76 (Sec.4).
Lighting
Use appropriate lighting for the application and the read object. The reading accuracy
can be improved significantly by changing the lighting.
Refer to page 49 (Sec.2).
Field of vision
• If the code image is too large, and not all of it can be read, resulting in an NG reading
(because of hollowing of dots), increase the field of vision. The effects of hollowing
can be prevented.
• If the cell recognition coordinates are incorrect, decrease the field of vision and
thereby make the code image larger. Cell recognition accuracy can be improved.
• Adjust the field of vision for the code to be at least 5 pixels per cell. Under normal con-
ditions, it is recommended that settings are made so that the number of pixels per cell
is between 7 and 12.
Check the number of pixels on the pattern registration screen.
Refer to pages 83 (Sec.4) and 132 (Sec.5).
• Try changing the lens configuration and the field of vision.
Margins
A margin of at least a cell must be provided around the code.
