Using BUSY Signals (Error Method)
The BUSY signal is a control signal used to show that the V530-R160 is busy processing. The ON/OFF
timing of this BUSY signal is monitored at the host device to time communications. The handling of the
BUSY signal can be changed to create a smoother system.
Input in the BUSY Status
While reading processing is in progress (while the BUSY signal is ON), the controller will not read
image data even if TRIG A is input. Set whether or not the ERR signal is turned ON as notifica-
tion that the host has not accepted a trigger.
The asterisk (*) indicates the default setting.
The BUSY signal turns OFF when the reading has been completed.

Details
ERR ON*
When a TRIG A is input during processing (while the BUSY signal is ON), the
ERR signal turns ON and reading is not performed. The ERR signal will turn
OFF when the next TRIG A is input at the correct timing.

The ERR signal will not turn ON even if the TRIG A is input during processing.
Reading will not be performed.
