Setting Reading Conditions
Method 1: Using a Sample Lighting Pattern
There are 15 sample lighting patterns registered, so the lighting pattern can be selected just by
switching through the pattern numbers and determining which pattern gives the sharpest image.
The sample pattern number can be switched by pressing the
SHIFT
Key together with the
Left
or
Right
Key.

Method 2: Adjusting Light Levels by Segment
The light level for each area can be set independently between 0 and 7. 0 is OFF and 7 is the
brightest. After selecting one of the sample patterns, the light level in each area can be fine-tuned
if necessary. Select the desired area with the
Left
/
Right
Keys and adjust the area's light level
with the
Up
/
Down
Keys. The following diagrams show the order in which the areas are selected
with the
Left
/
Right
Keys.
