Procedures
This section provides the basic procedures for the EtherNet/IP Unit.
Use the Sysmac Studio to create the programs and set the Unit.
Refer to the Sysmac Studio Version 1 Operation Manual (Cat. No. W504) for specific procedures on the
Sysmac Studio.

Basic Operation

Set the unit number and node address on the rotary switches on the
front of the Unit.

Select existing variables and assign them.

Enter new variable names.

Automatically create the device variable names.

Create the initial settings for the EtherNet/IP Unit on the Sysmac
Studio.

Set up the EtherNet/IP Unit in the Edit Special Unit Settings Tab Page.

Set the TCP/IP settings and Ethernet settings as required.

Set the IP address of the EtherNet/IP Unit with the Sysmac Studio.
Section 4 Determining IP
Addresses
Set the IP address in one of the following ways:
•
Default: 192.168.250.1 (subnet mask = 255.255.255.0)
•
Set a user-specified IP address.
•
Obtain the IP address from the BOOTP server.
