Question Answer
Will the RUN signal be output during scene switching? - The RUN signal will remain ON during scene switch-
ing in Run Mode.
- The RUN signal will remain OFF during scene switch-
ing in Monitor Mode.
Will the RUN signal turn OFF when the ERROR signal
turns ON with Camera or other errors in Run Mode? The RUN signal will remain ON even if the ERROR sig-
nal turns ON.
Why does the ERR signal turn ON when no error mes-
sage has been displayed? The ERR signal turns ON when STEP is input while the
BUSY signal is ON.
Select whether or not the ERR signal will turn ON
under SYS/Measurement control.

Question Answer
What happens to a registered images when
scenes are switched using the Conversa-
tional Menus? Registered images are deleted when scenes are switched.
However, the automatically set measurement conditions based
on the registered images will be saved.
If the position displacement compensation
gives an NG result when using the Conversa-
tional Menus, will the workpiece measure-
ment be executed? Yes.
If the position compensation measurement gives an NG result
based on a low correlation, the measurement will still be per-
formed.
The image will not be scrolled in these cases. Also, the overall
judgement will always be NG.
Are scene names and measurement item
names set using the Expert Menu enabled for
Conversational Menus? Yes.
The names will be displayed as is, whether or not they are cus-
tomized or default names.
Can measurement region parameters set
using the Expert Menu be changed using
Conversational Menus? No.
With the Conversational Menus, only the measurement item
names for regions set using the Expert Menu will be displayed.
Nothing will be displayed even if the ENT Key is pressed with
one of these names selected.
Why has the measurement time increased
after switching from the Expert Menu to the
Conversational Menus, even though no set-
tings have been changed? The measurement time will increase for Expert Menu settings if
the following three conditions are met:
1. Position displacement compensation is set.
2. Compensated Image under SYS/Conditions/Display Settings
is set to not be displayed.
3. BUSY range under SYS/Measurement control is set to end of
display.
When you enter Conversational Menus Mode, the Compen-
sated Image setting under SYS/Conditions/Display Settings will
automatically change to display the image. As a result, the mea-
surement time is extended by the amount of time it takes to dis-
play the compensated image.
What data is saved to flash memory or the
Memory Card when the save operation is
executed? System data and the scene data for scene group 0 is saved to
flash memory. Scene data for scene groups 1 to 31 is overwrit-
ten to the Memory Card.
