Ensure that the cable does not exceed its maximum bending radius.
8-3-2
Duplex Settings in the PLC Setup
In the PLC Setup on the CX-Programmer, select Options - Duplex Settings.
Click the Duplex Settings Tab and click the checkbox next to the unit number
for the Duplex Communications Units.
Example: Duplex Settings for Communications Units with Unit Number 0
For details on settings other than duplex settings for Communications Units or
the PLC Setup, refer to the CS-series Duplex System Operation Manual
(W405).
Note
1.
Duplex settings for Communications Units can be performed with CX-Pro-
grammer Ver. 3.0 or later.
2.
Connect the CX-Programmer to the active CPU Unit when transferring the
PLC Setup settings to the CS1D. The settings cannot be transferred to the
CPU Unit if the CX-Programmer is connected to the standby CPU Unit.
(Only reading is possible.)
3.
After changing PLC Setup settings, enable the changes by resetting the
PLC’s power supply.

Creating I/O Tables for Duplex Systems
Creating I/O Tables
Based on Mounted
Units
Display the CX-Programmer’s I/O Table Window and select Options – I/O
Table Creation. The type of Units mounted and the mounting position will be
written to the CPU Unit as a registration I/O table. The Unit mounted in the
slot with the lower slot number will be set to active mode and the other Unit
will be set to standby mode.
When an I/O table is created, the I/O Table Window will be displayed in the
way shown below. The first word in the CPU Bus Unit Area allocated to the
active Unit (1500 in the example below) is displayed in brackets. (The first
word allocated in the CPU Bus Unit Area depends on the unit number setting.)
For the standby Unit, “STB” is displayed in brackets.
