Wiring and Connections
This section provides basic information on wiring the CPU Unit and Power
Supply Unit, and on connecting Programming Devices.

General Precautions for Wiring
!Caution
Leave the protective label in place while wiring. The Unit may malfunction if
strands of wire get inside the Unit. After completing wiring be sure to remove
the label to avoid overheating.
I/O Line Noise
Do not run CPM2C-S I/O lines in the same duct or conduit as power lines.
!Caution
If flat cables are connected for more than one CompoBus/S network, interfer-
ence between the flat cables can cause unstable operation. If you are using
more than one network, be sure the flat cables are separated by at least
5 mm.
Hanging Ducts
Leave at least 300 mm between the power cables and the I/O or control wir-
ing, as shown in the following diagram.
