6.1 Configuration of the controller
As a basic setting, one output channel is routed to the sound card of the computer. However, in order to use
the prefader listening function of the controller, i.e. to monitor each of the decks via headphones even if the
corresponding channel is faded out, this setting must be changed. For this a sound card with several outputs
must be available in the computer. Alternatively, an inexpensive external USB sound card may be used.
For basic use a standard soundcard is also sufficient in combination with a jack Y-splitter (not included).
Then two mono output channels will be available. One of which can be used for PA applications and the
other for monitoring the decks via headphones. Please refer to the software's Quick Guide for further setup
examples.
1. Call the software’s configuration menu with the button CONFIG and configure the program for operation
with the
TMC-01
in the tab Sound Setup.
2. Depending on the computer's sound card various output configurations can be selected in control panel
Outputs: basic setting SINGLE OUTPUT (one output channel), HEADPHONES (one output channel and
one monitor channel), EXTERNAL MIXER (two output channels), 3-LINES MIXER (3 output channels). If
required, you can switch the output channels in the adjacent control panel.
3. In control panel Sound card, select the sound card driver which you would like to use and in the adjacent
panel the sound card.
4. For basic use with a Y-splitter as mentioned above, select the settings HEADPHONES and MONO
SEPARATED.
5. Leave control panel Input at NONE and confirm your settings with Apply.
