Audio Errors Tile
The
Audio Errors
tile, under the
Audio
menu shows.
The number in the "Value" column indicates the number of failures in the current frame. The value in
the "Total Errors" column show the number of failures since the last reset. The value in the "% EFPS"
(error frames per second) indicates the number of failures as a percentage of all of the frames since
the last reset.
CRC
Cyclic Redundancy Check. The system calculates a new 16-bit CCITT CRC values
from the incoming data, and compares this value with the actual CRC value
embedded in the data. If there is a difference between the expected and actual
CRC value, this will be recorded as an error.
Parity
Displays the status of the audio parity bit. If there is a difference between the
expected and actual parity, this will be recorded as an error.
Z-Bit
Displays the status of the 'z flag' that has been derived from the AES3 stream
preamble and is common to the two channels of an AES audio pair. If there is a
difference between the expected and actual z flag value, this will be recorded as
an error.
