Generating an Intermittent High-Current Output
In a substation, certain control measurements and/or performance checks
require the injection of high current at one location, and the respective
measurement at another, sometimes remote location.
When
CPC 100
outputs high current, duty cycles may apply to the selected AC
output range. The allowed pulse duty cycle ("on/off" operation) depends on the
selected range, the ambient temperature, the operating conditions of
CPC 100
etc
.
For more information about duty cycles refer to ”CPC 100 Outputs” on page
If you want to output high current for a longer period of time, perform such a test
by creating two states in Sequencer:
– one state that outputs high current
– and another state with a sufficient pause.
The duration of both states need to comply with the permitted duty cycle. This
will prevent an automatic shutdown of
CPC 100
due to an overload.

Set the states in such a way that they constantly repeat: select "Repeat".
