3.4 Attaching and removing the optical adapter
NOTE:

Be sure to attach the O-ring to the distal end of the insertion tube before using the
optical adapter.
Water or dirt that enters the unit from the connecting area between the insertion tube and
the optical adapter may cause malfunction or damage to the unit. Also note that the optical
adapter by itself is not watertight.

Never use the instrument while dirt or water is attached inside the optical adapter.
Otherwise, the water tightness between the optical adapter and the distal end may be lost, or
the optical adapter or the distal end may be damaged.

When replacing the adapter, do not hold the insertion tube at the part that is beyond
the angulation section and closer to the distal end.
Otherwise, the angulation section may be damaged.
