Chapter 5 Menu operations and functions
„ Compare two images (COMPARE)
The live and retrieve images can be displayed simultaneously and compared.

Use quick replay or select the images you want to compare from
the thumbnail screen and retrieve (play) them.

Press the [MENU/EXIT] button to display the main menu.

Select “COMPARE” and press the [MEAS/ENTER] joystick.
The retrieved image is displayed on the left half and the live image is displayed
on the right half of the screen.
The following functions are available on the compare screen.
• Tilting the [MEAS/ENTER] joystick to the left or right scrolls the retrieved
image to the left or right.
• Tilt the [ANGLE] joystick to do angulation in the live screen.
• Press the [FRZ/REC] button for at least two seconds to record the image being
compared.
• Pressing the [BRT] lever while the live image is displayed on the right half of
the screen allows the automatic brightness control to be applied to the live
image.
• Pressing the [BRT] lever while a frozen image is displayed on the right half of
the screen allows the contrast correction to be applied to the retrieved image
in the left half of the screen.

To exit from the COMPARE function, press the [VIEW], [MENU/EXIT]
or [LIVE/GAIN] button.
Holding down the [VIEW] button for about two seconds or pressing the [MEAS/
EXIT] button displays the thumbnail screen.
Pressing the [LIVE/GAIN] button displays the Live screen.
