15  Installing the vacuum generator

11. Cut the excess length from the long tube, then connect the tube to the vacuum 

generator and install the air supply connector [with a suitable sealant on its 
threads] (see Figure 2-16 on page 27).
Be sure to push the tube ends until they touch the bottom of the quick-connector 
openings, and sufficiently tighten (but do not over-tighten) the air supply 
connector in the fitting on the vacuum generator.
An example scanner with vacuum generator is shown in Figure 2-17 on page 27.
