AWS codes require that you enter a certain amount of scanning gain to the

value. This allows you to locate flaws that might be smaller or deeper in the test piece
than the reference flaw.

To add scanning gain

Use the

[GAIN]

key to adjust the scanning-gain value necessary to perform the

inspection as outlined by the AWS Code.

Choose

6/6 > AWS > Scan dB

to toggle the scanning gain on and off as necessary.
