2-12 Metering and Exposure
Locking Exposure
(AE Lock)
Lock exposure at the metered value. Use when you want to meter one subject while
focusing on another or take several shots at the same exposure.
Exposure lock is performed using a button. Exposure lock is available only when
[mode1] or [mode2] is selected for [
K
AEL/AFL] (P. 141). If the
AEL/AFL
button
is assigned a role other than exposure lock, you will also need to assign [AEL/AFL]
to a control using [
K
Button Function] (P. 463).

button to display the menus.

AEL/AFL] using

on the arrow
pad and press the

Highlight a focus mode using the

buttons and
