Other Functions Available on the Phone

This setting is not required in Germany.
We recommend that you do not alter the settings in this menu.
Pulse or Tone Dialling Mode
If you install the phone within a PABX system (private automatic branch exchange), it
may be necessary to change the dialling mode. The phone can be used for pulse and
tone dialling modes.

Navigate to the
SET 5 P/T
menu.

Press the
key. The display indicates the dialling mode selected.

Press the or key to switch between
PULSE
and
TONE
modes.

Press the
key to confirm the entry.
Flash Function
This function is used by network operators to provide customers with various other ser-
vices. Further information can be provided by your network operator.
If your telephone is connected to a PABX system, the key is used during a call to
enable consultation with other subscribers and/or to forward a call to them.
The functional procedure can differ according to the PABX system. Further information
is available in the operating manual supplied with the PABX.
Barring Outgoing Calls
If you have a second phone in the household, you can set it up so that incoming calls
can be taken but no outgoing calls can be made. This is useful when a telephone is
installed in another room from which no outgoing calls should be made.
