   Service Manual

Installation procedure

1.

Disconnect all printer's cables, including power cable (safety first!).

2.

Use a screwdriver or a punch to break the metal shield on back of the printer as indicated in the following figure.

Insert the LAN card in the hole, with circuit board on bottom.

4.

When card touch the bottom of the hole, push on both sides until  the Ethernet LAN Card lock in position.

5.

Tighten both screws to fix the Ethernet LAN Card.

6.

Install the Ethernet LAN Card drivers following instructions supplied with software drivers.

7.

If necessary, configure the Ethernet LAN Card.

 

NOTE: 

the Ethernet LAN Card needs to be reconfigured only if you want to change the default 

configuration (DHCP first, AutoIP second), for example, assigning a static IP address to the board.

8.

Enable the Ethernet LAN Card from the programming menu (see the section 

“CONFIGURING THE 

OPERATION PARAMETERS” on page 4 - 1

) or using the Toolbox application.
