Fence
Fence Tilt
The cast iron fence assembly has three adjustable positive stops at 45°, 90°, and 135°.
To set the fence at 90°, flip the 90° stop block to the right. Make sure the 90° stop bolt is resting on the
90° stop block. To tilt the fence, flip the 90° stop block to the left.
Fence Positioning
Use the fence position knob to set the amount of cutterhead exposed. This jointer can joint boards up to
8” wide when m oving the fence all the way back. Moving the fence to other positions while jointing boards
of different sizes helps to average the usage of the cutters.
WARNING
Tighten both fence tilt lock and fence position lock before starting the machine.
A loose fence can lead to loss of control of the workpiece, which can cause
severe injury.
