- Press b and – on the console for at least 10 seconds (fig. 43).
The red LED emits an audible signal and flashes to signal the self-diagnosis function has been activated.
The console display will now show the current appliance configuration according to the following codes:
D2 on:
appliance configuration number
K4 on:
if anti-legionella function is enabled
S1 on:
if electric heating element is enabled and anti-freeze function available
S4 on:
if HEATER1 heating element is enabled
Then, the red LED and display icon flash. The electric HEATER1 heating element output is activated for a few seconds if enabled.
Should the UNICO BOILER WALL block and signal an error (as indicated in the following table), specify to the service centre the
error message shown on the display (fig. 43).

COMMUNICATION LINE BETWEEN THE TWO UNITS (figs. 35, 36)
Use cables as specified in the table below.
From the UNICO BOILER WALL unit, lay the communication cable (fig. 36) so that it reaches the terminal block on the UNICO
BOILER MASTER.
The communication cable between the two units must be screened and have the following characteristics:
- 2-pin plus screen
- maximum length 15m.
- minimum cable cross-section 0.35mm2.

Connect the communication cable to terminals ABG (fig. 36)
UNICO BOILER WALL
- Undo the fixing screw and remove the cover (fig. 35)
- Pass the power and communication cables through the hole in the cover.
- Secure the communication and power cables with a cable clamp (fig. 35)
- Connect the communication cable to terminals ABG (fig. 35 ref.B)
- Connect the power cable to terminals L N Earth (fig. 35 ref.A)
- Close the cover with the nut and nut cover.
NB Line G is the communication cable screening.
Before connecting the power cable, make sure that:
- The voltage and power frequency values match those specified on the appliance plate data.
WARNING: The appliance’s power network must be equipped with a suitable omnipolar disconnection device compliant
with national installation regulations. It should nonetheless be checked that the electric power supply is earthed and
equipped with suitable protection against overloads and/or short-circuits (a type 10 AT delay fuse or other devices with
equivalent functions are recommended).
To prevent any risk of electric shock, the master switch must be disconnected before making electrical connections and carrying
out maintenance on the appliances.
