• Setting with PEAP
This section describes how to set up PEAP, one of the IEEE802.1X authentication.

Open the web page of this machine.
• For details on how to open it, refer to "Opening the web page" (Page 225) .

Log in as an administrator.

Select [Admin Setup].

Select [Network] - [IEEE802.1X].

Select [Enable] in [IEEE802.1X].

Select [PEAP] in [EAP Type].

Input the user name in [EAP User].

Input the password in [EAP Password].

Select [Authenticate Server], and click [Import].

Input the file name of the CA certificate, and click [OK].
Specify the CA certificate used for RADIUS server authentication. PEM, DER and KCS#7
files can be imported.

Click [Submit].
The new settings will take effect after the network function of the machine has been reset.

When the machine is ready to print, power off the machine.
• Refer to "Turning the power off" (Page 35) for details on how to turn the power off.

Remove the LAN cable from the machine.

Proceed to "Connecting this machine to the authentication switch".

Check that this machine is powered off.

Connect the LAN cable to the network interface connector of this machine.

Connect the other end of the LAN cable to the authentication port of the
authentication switch.

Power on this machine.

Set the IP address of this machine.
