DCN
(second)
The transmitter can transmit a DCN signal to
the remote station for disconnection after the
second 2400 bps transmission is attempted.

ARQ (by
The automatic fall-back system can have
the receiver send either a NAK tone 5 times
continuously, or 10 times non-consequentive.
9600

2400
If at 2400 bps, the receiver has not made a successful
detection in 30 seconds of the normal frame, the
receiver can transmit a DCN signal as an error
communication.
2)
ECM
The automatic fall-back system will use the
following sequence if the transmitter has not
detected the MCF from the receiver, after the
transmitter has sent the same block 4 times
continuously.
9600
7200
2400 bps
At 2400 bps, the transmitter can send the same block
continuously to a maximum of 24 times.
However, if the transmitter has not detected a MCF
from the receiver, the transmitter can send a DCN
signal as an error communication.
