About the SendMe Digital File Format Settings

The system always displays the current format. To change the file

format or the settings for the current scan, touch the File Format icon

at the top, center of the workspace.
There are three SendMe E-mail digital file formats:

•

PDF

(for more information about this format, see “Using the PDF

File Format” on page 118)

•

JPEG/TIFF

(for more information about this format, see “Using

the JPEG File Format” on page 118 and “Using the TIFF File

Format” on page 119)

•

MS Word/RTF

The SendMe settings for each format are described on the following

pages.

PDF

Portable Document Format (PDF) is a widely-used digital file format.

Specify these settings for PDF:

•

Hidden text layer (OCR): touch the box to check this option if you

want to be able to do text searches on the file.

•

Document Language: specify a language, if desired.

•

Compression Quality: select a compression; for more information

see “Compression Level” on page 113.

•

Make secure via 128-bit encryption; for more information see

“About SendMe Encryption Settings” on page 87.
