If Setup is Not Possible through USB Connection (Mac OS X)

Symptom

Solution

Reference

The interface is disabled.

Set [USB] to "ENABLE" in the printer's menu

settings.

USB SETUP

It is possible that the USB cable does not

meet the standard.

Use a USB 2.0 cable.

The setup procedure is incorrect.

Perform the setup procedure from the

beginning again.

The USB cable has been inserted and removed

with a short interval of time.

Wait at least 5 seconds to reconnect the USB

cable after it has been removed.

The USB cable is disconnected.

Insert the USB cable.

Connecting a Computer to the

Printer via a USB Interface

There may be a problem with the USB cable.

Replace it with a spare USB cable, if available.

A USB hub is used.

Connect the printer to the Mac computer

directly.

The setup operation has been stopped.
