Copying a 5.5 x 8.5’’ original with the platen

Place and align the original face down on the platen.
Use the long-edge feed direction.

Select the 'Basic' section.

Select '1-sided' in the 'Original' and 'Copy' function boxes.

Select 'No' in the 'Staple' function box.

Activate the 'Paper' section.
Make sure that the 'Paper input' card is open.

Select 5.5 x 8.5’’ in the 'Source' function box.

Note:
If the trays do not contain 5.5 x 8.5’’ paper, add 5.5 x 8.5’’ paper to tray
1 (see ‘Add paper to the paper trays’ on page 66).
Note:
If the required size is not 5.5 x 8.5’’, adjust the 'Enlargement or
reduction'(see ‘Make an enlarged or reduced copy’ on page 49).

Select the number of copies.
