Installation of the Adaptor plate
before proceeding!
•
Place the adaptor plate on the mounting rail as shown on the image above.
•
Slide the adaptor plate until the distance between the front of the adaptor plate and the cleaver blade is correct as
indicated in the picture above

Use the 1.3 mm Allen key supplied with the cleaver to tighten the set screws lightly. Do not over tighten.
•
Perform a cleave to verify the function and cleave length. After cleaving, the cleave length (remaining part of stripped
fiber) should be approximately 13 mm. If it is longer, move the adaptor plate slightly closer to the cleaver blade.

Adjusting the cleave length mechanically
•
Make sure that the mounting rail is in its home position and that the AUTOCLEAVER
TM
is disconnected from its power
supply.
•
Use a 1.3 mm Allen key to loosen the set screw holding the adaptor plate on the mounting rail.
•
Slide the adaptor along the rail to the desired position and tighten the set screws carefully and evenly. Do not over tighten
as that may prevent the fiber holder from entering the adaptor plate correctly.
Note; the mounting rail with adaptor plate will move 3.4 mm towards the cleaver blade when a cleave sequence is initiated.
This travel is needed for the fiber waste collection system to work. Do not mount the adaptor closerer than 4.5 mm to the rear
