Wheel suspension test
If the wheel suspension tester is not used for measuring
passenger cars, the cover plates
must
be put on as a
crossing protection for heavier vehicles to the measu-
ring platforms!
Danger of destruction!
Make sure that no persons are in the test stand or the
wheel suspension tester area!
In addition to that, the following must be observed:
- Do not park vehicles on the components of the wheel
suspension tester.
- The mounting screws of the covers must be
securely
tightened
in order to avoid tire damage.
Drive the vehicle
slowly
on the measuring platforms of
the wheel suspension tester in order to avoid unne-
cessary stresses.
- Do not suspend any wheels at motorcycles.
- When switching on the „BT with wheel suspension
tester“, no people or vehicles must be on the compo-
nents.
- During the operation of the wheel suspension tester,
no people must be within the range of the compon-
ents!
- It is not allowed to perform any repair work or other
work on a vehicle parked in the measuring platforms
of the wheel suspension tester.
- The vehicle must be at right angles with the measuring
platforms of the wheel suspension tester!
- If the vehicle „rolls“ out of measuring platforms of the
wheel suspension tester, there is
danger to life
for
any person in the wheel suspension area!
- Do not perform any adjustment work when the wheel
suspension test is being executed.
General
The measuring platforms of the wheel suspension tester measu-
res the wheel weight and determines the wheel grip according to
the EUSAMA principle.
Activation of the test stand
Before switching on the test stand, all test stand components
must be unloaded!
Vehicle preparation
Check the wheel pressure on the vehicle - adjust if necessary.
Automatic mode
Before selecting the automatic mode „Automatik“, all test stand
components must be in the unloaded state!
Wheel suspension test for the front axle
Now, drive the front axle of the vehicle onto the measuring
platforms (up to the center). On the center 14-segment-display
(28) of the display device, „R.-A.-TEST A1“ for the first (front)
vehicle axle is displayed. If a vehicle is on the measuring platform,
the current axle to be tested is displayed
The analog display informs about the position (front/rear) of the
two wheels with relation to the center of the measuring platforms.
The left-hand pointer indicates the position of the left-hand wheel,
the right-hand pointer refers to the position of the right-hand
wheel on the measuring platform.
