Test stand preparation
Make sure that there are
no
persons in the test stand
area!

In case of danger, press the
„EMERGENCY STOP switch“ (13)!
Activate the test stand by means of the main switch (14).
The operating system is being loaded.
The test stand performs an automatic self-test.
All displays show zero.
The self-test is completed.
Perform zero point compensation
No vehicle must stand in or on the roller sets! Both
roller sets are activated without pressing down the
touch rollers.
Danger to life
for any persons in the test roller area!
Zero point compensation for trucks/passenger cars
The zero point compensation is to be carried out for BT 6x2 at
both test speeds.
Select the speed by means of switch (11) (not required with
BT 610 and BT 640).
Press and hold the set-up push-button „Einrichten“
N
(9). The indicator light „Automatik“ flashes.
Press the „Automatik“
A
push-button (12).
The test stand performs an automatic zero point compen-
sation. The zero point compensation is terminated once
the rollers do not rotate any more.
i
In an environment with low temperature fluctuations, carry
out the zero point compensation once a week.
In an environment with high temperature fluctuations, per-
form the zero point compensation daily.
Select mode of operation
Please select the mode of operation.
- Automatic
For automatic operation, press push-button „Automatik“
A

Brake pedal force measurements
Pedal force measurements are performed by means of a pedal
force gauge (option) mounted on the brake pedal or on the
parking brake.
For logs on the evaluation, see chapter „9. Inputs necessary for
evaluation and documentation by the test stand“.
Pressure measurements
Pressure sensors are options.
For compressed-air brakes up to 20 bars, the measuring lines of
the test stand have to be connected to the brake system as
follows:
- Pressure sensor (without marking) to the brake cylinder for the
pressure pz,
- Pressure sensor (with yellow marking on cable) to the control
pressure pm on the coupling head of the brake.
(The yellow coupling head is not always suitable as a test
connection for measuring the pressure pm, since the pressure
is in advance at this position with some vehicles, e.g. MB2538L.
This leads to falsifications of the test logs. In these cases,
adjustments must be made on the uncontrolled connection).
Alternatively, the compressed-air brakes can also be measured by
radio pressure sensors. The radio pressure sensors are optional
extras.
i
Check pressure hoses and connections regularly for tight-
ness. Leaks will lead to faulty measurements.
Danger of stumbling when laying measuring lines.
