Switching the Rugboard on
Press the on/off button on the right hand side.

you want to shut down.

Rugboard Operation
3.1
Starting the setup menu
The stetup menu lets you change the network and server access
parameters, calibrate the touch screen, change the boot logo,
and do Software Updates. For most of these settings, it is
sufficient to press the button 'Configuration' on the right bottom
of the screen:

The full service menu of the Board can only be started during
the boot sequence, following these steps:
- Switch the Rugboard on.
- As soon as the progress bar on the boot screen has reached
approx. 80%, press the two buttons (3) and (4) simultaneous-
ly, and keep them depressed until the progress bar has
reached 100%.
- If you did this in the right way, you will see
„Starting Setup...“,
and the full service configuration menu will be displayed.
3.2
The „Virtual Keyboard“
All text entries are done with the integrated „Virtual Keyboard“.
Pressing the 'Keyboard' button (3), you can show or hide the
virtual keyboard.

Special characters and upper case letters have to be entered as
a combination of keys. As it is not possible to tap more than one
key at the same time, press the shift/selection key first, and then
the desired other key. An activated shift / selection key is shown
highlighted.
Please note that the „Caps Lock“ function stays active until you
deselect it, while all other shift / selection keys (Shift, Strg, Alt
and AltGr) are only valid for the next key entry.
If you would like to move the keyboard to a different position on
the screen, pick the upper bar of it with the tap stick „Stylus“ (8),
and move it to the desired place with the tap stick in permanent
contact with the touch screen.
3.3
The Toolbar
On the screen, you will always see the toolbar displayed, on
which the user gets different functions and displays. In the setup,
you can select which icons are supposed to be displayed.

The toolbar can also be moved on the screen. As default, you see
only the two icons for battery status and WLAN connectivity
indicator. These are the available icons and their functions:
3.3.1 Activate virtual keyboard
Same function as button (3) on the top of the Rugboard.
