PHAT TRAK™ DJ Cartridge
Congratulations- you have just purchased one of the leading cartridges on the market today designed specifically for the DJ
community. The “PHAT TRAK™” Cartridge is the worlds first DJ cartridge with a self powered headlight. This unique patented
design has been tested by Pro DJ's all over the Planet with amazing results. A switch is strategically located on the underside of the
arm lift turns the light on for 30 seconds. Never miscue a record again.
Installation Instructions:
1.
Carefully remove the cartridge from its packaging.
2.
Insert the cartridge into the front end of the tonearm, then
turn the locking nut clockwise with the head shell firmly
held horizontally.
3.
Remove the stylus protector. Do not touch the stylus tip
during the adjustment.
4.
Set the cueing lever to the lower position so it does not
effect tone arm height.
5.
Set Anti-Skate to 0.
6.
Release the arm clamp and lift the tonearm from the
armrest so it moves freely.
7.
Rotate the counterweight until the tonearm is
approximately balanced horizontally (floats freely).
8.
Refasten the tonearm with the arm clamp.
9.
Hold the counterweight
stationary with one hand
and rotate only the
stylus-pressure ring to
bring the number "O" of
the ring into alignment
with the center line on
the tonearm rear shaft.
10.
Rotate the counterweight with scale ring clockwise to the
correct downward stylus pressure. The proper setting of
the Phat Trak is 4.5 grams. For scratch mixing you may
choose to use a slightly a
higher weight. This
cartridge has been
designed to track properly
from 3-6 grams. Higher
weights will prematurely
shorten stylus tip life and
damage your record.

Set the anti-skating control knob to the following values:
