2.0 INTRODUCTION
Nuaire’s MRXBOX-FF4 is designed for use with MRXBOXAB-ECO4
MVHR units. The product offers a first fix installation solution; in
addition the multiple spigot positions simplify ducting layouts. Each
chamber is fully lined with acoustic foam offering excellent noise
reduction.
3.0 MECHANICAL INSTALLATION
Installation must be carried out by competent personnel in
accordance with the appropriate authority and conforming to all
statutory governing regulations.
Please note a clear working space is required around the
MRXBOXAB-ECO4 installed unit to allow the cover to be removed and
provide sufficient access for maintenance such as filter change. Please
allow a minimum of 480mm in front of the unit.
The fan must be installed indoors, on a suitable wall away from direct
sources of frost, heat, water spray or moisture generation.
For a vibration-free result the unit must be mounted to a solid wall.
For more detailed information on structural and installation
requirements of the MRXBOXAB-ECO4 unit please refer to the
installation documents supplied with the MVHR unit and also
MRXBOX-AV4 for wall mounting details.
3.1 Ducting
The metal knock outs and foam lining should be removed from any
positions that are to be ducted (Figure 1), the 220mm x 90mm spigots
supplied can then be fitted to these locations using the self-tapping
fixings supplied. If no spigot is to be fitted the knock out and foam
should be left in place and the area blanked off using the hanging
brackets and self-tapping screws supplied.
The remaining 200mm diameter spigots should be fitted to the
underside of the unit using self-tapping screws supplied.
A bead of silicone must be applied to the perimeter of all spigots
and hanging brackets fitted to prevent leakage.
