Installing the Commu-
nication Configuration
File(Drivers)
For Windows XP(Automatic)
• Installation may take several minutes de-
pending on PC you use.
• Do not install and or uninstall during data
communication.
• When installing the Communication
Configuration Files, make sure to install from
the account with PC supervisor privileges.
An error will occur during installation if you
install from the account without these
privileges.
• For Windows Vista, click「Allow」or 「Continue」
when displaying user account con-
trol screen. For details on setting up PC
supervisor privileges, contact your com-
puter manufacturer or Microsoft Corpora-
tion.

Start Windows▶Insert the
included CD-ROM into a PC
・ The following screen may appear when inserting
CD-ROM into a PC.
The Communication configuration files
(Drivers) only need to be installed when you
connect the FOMA terminal to your PC for
the first time.
・ Remove the FOMA terminal from the PC be-
fore driver installation.
Note
• If FOMA terminal is newly inserted into the
USB port, above message is displayed.
・ If the above screen appears, you can use
FOMA terminal properly.
・ You may see the message New hardware
was successfully installed and ready to use ,
appears if the FOMA terminal is properly
recognized by PC.

Reboot PC
▶ Insert FOMA Terminal to
USB port of PC
・ You may see the message New hardware
found FOMA A2502 displayed on the bot-
tom right of task bar. The FOMA terminal is
being automatically recognized by PC.

Select「今すぐ再起動する
(Reboot now)」
▶Click[完了(Finish)]
・ Reboot PC to make installation effective.
・ If you want to reboot later, select「後で手動で再
起動する(I want to manually reboot later)」
