Monitor for Internal Recognition of Input and Output State: Monitor IO1
Monitors the applied state of following function to the control inputs and outputs: the polarity reverse and
the anti-chattering timer to the control inputs, and the stability timer for the control outputs.
For the inputs, the monitor reports how the Driver Unit recognizes the application state of
functions.
(The readout is the applied state of parameters AB [Input polarity] and NW [Anti-chattering
timer] in the command PI [Edit input port])
For the outputs, the monitor reports the state just before the application of output logic.
(The readout is the applied state of the parameters ST (Stability timer) in the command PO (Edit
control output). The parameter GC (Output logic) is not applied.)

The readout of the state of the input signals by the monitor IO1 will be affected by the parameter AB (Input
polarity).
For example, the shipping set of the input EMST (Emergency stop) is a normally closed contact.
As shown in Figure A-3 below, the function of emergency stop is effective even the input signal is
OFF at the moment of (1). At the moment of (2), the function of emergency stop is invalid when
the input signal is ON.

The “Table A-2: Read out of the monitors IO0 and IO1 when the input EMST is a normally closed
contact” below shows the comparison of the readouts of the monitor IO0 and IO1 at the moment
of (1) and (2) in “Fig A-3: Port polarity and ON/OFF of the input EMST” above.
