Connecting the device environment of the
PC programming station (WinEMP)
If you want the G-18.mft to be set on the PC using the diagnostics and
configuration software WinEMP, the following device environment is
connected to the PCB direct plug
5
of the coin validator (see Fig. 2a and
section "Accessories" in Chap. 10 "Technical data"):
•
Tester for voltage supply
•
WinEMP card reader incl. chip card
For details on how to connect the device environment to your PC and how
to operate the software, please refer to the separate documentation for the
WinEMP software (refer also to Chap. 9 "Which functions can be set using
WinEMP/PalmEMP?").
Prior to making the connection to the programming station,
the DIL switch S3.9 on the rear of the coin validator must be
set upward to ON first, since otherwise it will not be possible
to set up a connection to the PC.
The WinEMP functions that are relevant for the vending machine
control system of the G-18.mft are currently being revised.
Connecting the Palm handheld (PalmEMP)
"PalmEMP" is an NRI program
that can be installed as an
additional application on a
Palm handheld. Simply use the
appropriate dongle to connect
the Palm handheld to the PCB
direct plug
5
of the coin validator
(see Fig. 2a and section
"Accessories" in Chap. 10
"Technical data"). The coin
validator remains installed in
the vending machine.
The
PalmEMP
functions that are
relevant for the vending machine control system of the G-18.mft are
currently being revised.
