INTENDED
USE
3.1
O
PERATIONAL LIMITATIONS
Connect the System components in compliance with connection diagrams in
Appendix A, and table of connections issued for the order.
All SCs must be grounded, insulation of cables must be intact, bare ends shall be
absent.
3.2
P
REPARATIONS TO USE
3.2.1
Safety features
While preparing the System for operation, a user shall:
– train the personnel how to operate with the System, test and control equipment
and familiarize them with the required occupational safety rules;
– familiarize the personnel with the grounding locations and check that grounding
is performed properly;
– use only standard fuses;
– switch off the System’s power before disconnecting cables, replacement of
fuses, units or modules;
– follow “The technical rules for operation of electric installation” and “Safety
rules for operation of electric installation” while testing electrical circuits and insulation
resistance.
After unpacking, observe the System visually and make sure there is no
mechanical damage of the components.
3.2.2
Visual check procedure
Before switching the System on:
– observe integrity and initial position of the controls on the front panels of the SCs;
– check the absence of dust and dirt on the front panels of the SCs, clean them
with a soft cloth if necessary (see table 5);
– check that cable connectors are securely connected to the SCs.
3.2.3
Switching on instructions
Connect the System
to power network in compliance with the requirements to
input power supply specified in the Technical description.
Before performing the connections, all SCs must be grounded.
