Loading via data interface
Application notes
The Download Assistant is a utility program for comfortable downloading of
printer firmware from PCs, using a Windows operating system.

Without the assistance of the utility program, the printer operating system
must be switched to MS-DOS mode before starting to download.
System requirements
PC

Operating System: Windows 95/98/ME or Windows NT/2000/XP.
•
The PC must be equipped with a serial or parallel interface.
Printer types All types listed in the header line of this document.
Installation
Start the setup program „SetupFirmwareDownload.exe“. The program can
be found on the Documentation-CD, in folder „Utilities“.
[2] First, you will be asked, if you want to install the program
„FirmwareDownload“ now. Click „Ja“.
[3] A file selection window opens. Choose a directory,
to which the program should be copied.
