Ribbon rewinding mandrel
(type 1/2)
Tools
•
Size 7 and 8 socket wrenches
•
Allen key 2 mm.
•
Plastic hammer
•
Torx screwdriver size 20
Dismantling
1. Open (DPM) or dismantle (ALX) the rear
hood.

See chapter Housing on page 8.
2. Pull the cap [71B] off the ribbon mandrel.
3. Measure and note how deep the nut [72B,
circled] and cap [72A] are screwed on to
the ribbon mandrel.

Doing this saves setting the braking tor-
que after mounting the ribbon mandrel.

This step is unnecessary if the spring
[72C] is to be replaced.
4. Undo the retaining screw on the belt
tightener [73A]. Take off belt [[73B].
5. Remove nut [73C]. At the same time brace
the threaded rod by the red hexagonal
head on the opposite side of the printer.
6. Unscrew the threaded rod out of the cap
[73D]; remove the cap.
7. Take off the spring, brake disc and toothed
belt pulley.
