Connecting sensors
A product sensor can optionally be connected to
the USI or to the AI interface. Due to the en-
hanced setting options (choice between error or warn-
ing message), the connection to USI is recommended.
Because AI and USI cannot be driven both at a time,
the sensor has to be connected to the AI, if the ALX 92x
is operated with an applicator.
Product sensor at USI
Prerequisite : Machine is equipped with optional signal
interface (USI).
• Permitted sensor type: NPN
• Order no.: A2682 (readily assembled NPN sensor
for connection to USI [17])

WARNING!
This unit operates at mains voltage! Contacting electrically live components can cause
lethal electrical shocks and burns.
 The machine must only be connected with other machines if they meet the require-
ments of a SELV circuit (Safety Extra-Low Voltage circuit) in accordance with
EN 60950.
