B.4 FRESET Clear Selected Data from NVM and Reset
This command clears data that is stored in non-volatile memory. Such data includes the almanac, ephemeris
and any user specific configurations. The commands, ephemeris and almanac related data can be cleared by
using the
STANDARD
target. The model can only be cleared by using the
MODEL
target. The receiver is forced
to hardware reset. In addition, values entered using the
CLOCKCALIBRATE
command can only be cleared by
using the
CLKCALIBRATION
target.
Issuing the FRESET command affects Tilt as follows:
•
Tilt sensor level is restored to the factory default
•
Tilt enable/disable is not be affected

FRESET COMMAND
FRESET STANDARD
(which is also the default) causes any commands, ephemeris, GNSS and
almanac data previously saved to NVM to be erased.
If you are receiving no data or random data from your receiver, try the following before
contacting NovAtel:
•
Verify that the receiver is tracking satellites
•
Check the integrity and connectivity of power and data cables
•
Verify the baud rate settings of the receiver and terminal device (your computer or data
logger)
•
Switch COM ports
•
Issue a FRESET command
