8 Maintaining and repairing
8.1 Audience and qualification
Only qualified personnel trained in handling and cleaning sensitive optical equipment is
allowed to perform the described procedures.
8.2 Safety precautions
•
Switch off the machine where the scan head is incorporated from mains, in
particular the laser, the scan head itself and eventually present translation
stages.
8.3 Maintenance plan
As the intervals strongly depend on the optics contamination, we kindly ask you to
determine the intervals respective the alternative condition by yourself.
We recommend keeping a machine logbook, where all measures taken can be recorded
and thus the intervals deduced.
8.4 Removing the protective window at the beam entrance
