12. Click to call up the file open dialog. Then, navigate to the
update file, select it in the dialog and click .
Note The file open dialog searches for files with the extension “.hex” only. In
case the update file has been given another extension for any reason, the
filename, including the complete access path, must be entered manually
in the respective text box of the update tab.
13. Now, power up the NAVITWIN IV while keeping the MENU key
pressed.
This will prevent the device from entering normal operation and put
it in the software update mode.
14. The NAVITWIN IV shows a blank
display. Three short beeps will
sound to indicate that the
update mode is active.
